Experience long rapids and spectacular scenery when Whitewater Rafting at Chancellor Peak ChaletsAt Chancellor Peak Chalets, we have the mighty Kicking Horse River right out our back door! About the Kicking Horse River The Kicking Horse River has three main sections for Whitewater Rafting. The first is the upper canyon and is considered a class 3-4 whitewater run and is suitable for canoes, kayaks and rafts. The middle canyon is considered an advanced class 4-5 run suitable for experienced Kayakers/Rafters and Canoeists only. Since the middle canyon is considered so dangerous, none of the rafting companies have tours there. The lower canyon is where most of the rafting is done as it has suitable water levels and still is exciting enough for all rafters (except the most hard core). The lower river is also suitable for those interested in fishing.
